Jayasom AMAALA Opens as the First Jayasom Destination in the Kingdom

Located within AMAALA on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, Jayasom AMAALA is a family-focused wellness destination forming part of AMAALA’s vision for a world-class Red Sea destination centred on holistic wellbeing, luxury hospitality and immersive experiences, while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia.

Appointed as Lead Consultant and Design Architect, DSA provided design leadership throughout the project, leading the architectural development from Schematic Design through to IFC. Our role encompassed the development, coordination and delivery of the architectural design, translating the original concept into a fully developed destination while responding to the resort’s distinctive operational, experiential and wellness requirements.

What makes Jayasom AMAALA particularly distinctive is its approach to wellness as an experience rather than simply a programme. The design brings together architecture, landscape, hospitality and wellbeing to create meaningful experiences for families, while responding sensitively to its natural setting and the cultural context of Saudi Arabia.

Throughout the project, DSA’s local experience and understanding of the Saudi context, combined with our ability to work collaboratively with international design teams, consultants and project stakeholders, was integral to developing the design and navigating the complexities of delivering a major hospitality destination.

The opening of Jayasom AMAALA marks the arrival of the Jayasom brand in the Kingdom, introducing a new family-focused wellness destination to the Red Sea coast where wellbeing, hospitality, nature and connection to place come together.
